Walls treatments
Tiles and wallpapers are most common installations for kitchen walls and the most practical too. The options in tiles and wallpapers both are endless, giving you a wide choice in colours, textures and patterns. Painted walls are also common however, very prone to peeling off.

Ceramic Tiles
Usually ceramic tiles are used for kitchens.

Pros

- Can be used in combinations to make interesting concepts.
- Easy to install and low maintainance.
- Easy to clean.
- Heat resistant and durable.
- Stain and water-resistant.

Cons
- Grouts are subject to stains. - You are subject to boredom of seeing them everyday.
- They are not easy to replace.
- Prone to chipping.

Wallpapers

Pros
- Look great and easy to install.
- Wide option in colours, textures and designs.
- In-expensive and easy to change.

Cons
- Can be installed only on leveled walls.
- Not long-lasting.
- Not heat resistant. (You do get heat-resistant wallpapers in the market).
- Easily stains.
- Corners start curling
- Subject to cuts and scratches


Wall painting

Pros - Variety of colours available in the market.
- Can be easily personalized.
- Easy to clean.
- Can be changed every year.

Cons
- Short Life
- Easily chips
- Not heat resistant
- Starts looking worn out in a couple of months


Other option is to install murals on the walls. They look great and add an element of design to the working space.
